Seasonal Cleanse Series

Spring is here and that means it’s time to cleanse!

Seasonal Cleanse Series
Ayurvedic Cleansing

In Ayurveda, it is common to do a seasonal cleanse. This cleanse can be as subtle as a 7 day kitchari cleanse, or it can go as deep as a 3 week cleanse that includes preparation, panchakarma practices, and a week of rejuvenation. Cleansing is a great way to find balance!

The point of these powerful cleanses is to help reset the digestive system and cleanse the liver and blood of certain doshas and ama (Sanskrit for toxins) that have accumulated in the system over time.

These accumulations can be due to certain circumstances such as the seasons, the food you eat, and your lifestyle. Just as doshas and toxins can accumulate in the body, they can also accumulate in the mind and spirit as well.

This can show up as an imbalanced mind, lack of devotion to your practices, or negative beliefs you have built up over time that create blocks in your life.

When we take time to cleanse, it can be so much more than just a reset for the body or a way to lose weight.

Cleansing is a holistic practice that allows you to take the time necessary to reconnect with yourself on a deep and devotional level.

This six week seasonal cleanse series is going to give you some tools to help you along your cleanse journey and many special peeks into my latest cleanse guide and planner, Sexy, Sacred, Balance!

  1. Great post. I just finished my weekend of shashank prakshalana. I like that you mentioned toxins can block your devotion to your practice. Very true and wise. Thank you for writing!

      1. Thank you. I always forget how much time it takes to actually heal. I have a cloudy head and feel my nerves numbed, but I can tell it is a good cleanse. What do you do to heal after a cleanse? I drink lots of ghee in my tea, but I feel super unprepared for the after math sometimes and can be caught off guard emotionally.
